The City of Plano is hosting their annual holiday event, Dickens, this Friday, December 2, from 5:00 - 9:00 PM.
Dickens has plenty of excitement and entertainment for all ages.Located in the Downtown Plano Arts District, Dickens includes live entertainment, a variety of attractions, delicious food, and of course a visit from everyone’s favorite guy! Santa will be arriving at 5:30 PM, so bring your little ones and do not miss out!
Local bands and live performances will take place from 5:30 - 8:00 PM, and at 8:00 PM, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis kick off to ensure a great Texas time for everyone.
In addition to live performances, do not miss out on the ice sculpting competition! Dallas Ice FX will be hosting Plano’s inaugural “Ice Fights.”
Take a slide down a 30 foot track of real snow! Where else can in Texas can you find a 30 foot snow tube?! You cannot make this stuff up!
Also available, horse-drawn wagon rides, balloon artists for the kids, and different kid’s activities put on by local non-profits.
And of course, at 214 Eats we are all about the food! A wide variety of food vendors will be on site for your choice of the perfect dish. Choose from hot drinks, beer, wine, kettle corn, smoked turkey legs, fried shrimp or fish, funnels cakes, and more tasty treats!
Santa will be located in the gazebo, so you do not have any excuses to miss him. Take your camera and caption the season with a picture of your kids and Santa! (or of course you can take a picture with Santa, we won’t judge!)
